Time to dive in...

OK. I've got a cute picture to look at and nifty links that I want to save and share. I guess I'd better get a post going before people realize just how inexperienced (i.e. "clueless") I am at this. [Actually, I imagine that posting will prove it - if logic still works.]

Wow. Where to start? My mind is already musing on how little spare time I have and I wonder if I'm even going to be able to maintain a blog. I love to keep a journal, though (my biggest sanity saver and memory backup), so maybe I can 'cut and paste' from it from time to time. [Mr. Squirrel and I have had a few hysterical events happen that I've written about in my journal that I would love to share. My most vivid examples are related to the time(s) we had to figure out how to rescue a chipmunk that found its way into the air-intake of our furnace!]

I must confess that my internet access is limited to bits and snatches at work when programs are running or I've got 'down-time'. Sometimes there is access at home if Mr. Squirrel is willing to share his laptop computer AND the weather patterns allow for a reasonably clear signal. Mr. Squirrel gets so frustrated when the signal is bad or konks out all together. Our best access is when we're in 'the big city' where I work and where Mr. Squirrel's mother lives. Staying with her tends to be when the roads are bad and going home is a bad idea. But it saves gas $$$, too, so it's not always associated with a bad situation and we are grateful for her hospitality. However, staying in the 'big city', does make a major contribution to that messy nest at home.]

Well, my time is up. Until we meet again...
Godspeed & God bless

Hurray Mrs. Squirrel!

And welcome to the big bloggy family. Hope you enjoy it without feeling obligated... although I always look forward to funny stories :0)

Thank you so much!

I don't think I'll feel obligated, but I do feel a little guilty. There is so much work to be done... but I'd like to take part in the fun, too. I've finally seen Mr. Squirrel come out of a lingering depression with his blog and I'd like to tap into that energy and encouragement. He's having a lot of fun with it, and that excitement is completely contagious. [In the good way.] He actually suggested that I start a blog of my own and has been a big help in getting me on the right track.

It's my hope that my blog will be a place where I can encourage myself as well as others. There are days I just need the extra boost. Mr. Squirrel introduced me to your blog and I've been looking forward to back-reading through your adventures!

Oops. Gotta get back to work.
See ya!
