March... almost April??? (Updated)

I cannot begin to tell you how fast my time is going... and how behind I feel.

Basically, this is just a quick note to ask for some prayers. I have had a troublesome health issue thrown into the mix, as I have developed some sort of "throat-thing." I will share more specific details once the results from my first-ever ultrasound come back and the problem is (hopefully) identified.

Right now, my immediate prayer requests would include: 1.) That my application for financial aid through the hospital comes through to help pay for the bills. 2.) That whatever this thing is, it can be solved without surgery. 3.) Above all, that God's will would be done in this situation (leaning heavily on His mercy and provision).

Thank you all.

Thanks very much!

The ultrasound came back with good news. There is nothing structurally wrong (no defects, no growths, etc.) This was a HUGE relief!

This rather implies that the 'lump in the throat' feeling is more of a muscle spasm issue. [Particularly since the feeling is not constant, and varies in intensity.]

I will be talking to my doctor early this next week to find out if she thinks that I should still have a throat specialist "take a look" just to make sure.

For now, I'm happy to believe that things are more-or-less stable, which for muscle spasms should help them to relax.

I will post more soon!

Oh yeah...on the school side:

I’m also happy to say that I think I have my "panic" put back into a good place. I’ve been modifying my energy into “working better” rather than “working harder.” I suppose it is simply changing my student-brain back into my employee-brain, and working school as if it was a job. And, like any job, I want to be productive without running myself into the ground.

I’ve honestly kind of forgotten that aspect of “everyday life” in my “rush to get it done.”

Another thing I've forgotten is exercise. [To my chagrin.]

For the last few weeks, I’ve also been trying to make a habit of taking some sort of exercise break somewhere in the middle of the day to ... what you might say... “move the blood from my seat back into my head”. At my former job, I used to get two 15-minute walks during the day (at morning and afternoon break times). Just like then, I find that I can think better after a break like that. [And because my hands are warm, I tend to type faster, too!]

I'm glad we are heading into spring and a few more sunny days. Outside walks can perk up the attitude even better than exercise equipment.

God bless & Godspeed

Thanks Craig :)

School really has absorbed my life. This is an attempt to regain some balance.

Good to hear from you, too. I hope to catch up on your blog. I'm soooooooo far behind!
